Plant Sales

With a brand new greenhouse, volunteers have been growing seedlings to sell and share with the community. These volunteers will be selling an ever-changing variety of plants and seeds every Wednesday through April and May to mid June from 10am to noon at the Beban Park Greenhouse site beside the pitch and putt golf course. For more information on how to find the site please contact greenhouse@nanaimocommunitygardens.ca Take this opportunity to see the new site and talk to the volunteers about what’s going on at the Beban Learning Gardens.

Currently available seedlings which are able to be transplanted outsider right now include lettuce, cress, arugula, herbs, kale, broccoli, Swiss chard, pac choi and some spring bulbs.  Beginning in late April/May/June, there will be leeks, onions, and other heat lovers including tomatoes, peppers, cukes, squash tomatillos, etc.
