Seedy Sunday Event Coordinator Job Posting

Job Title: Seedy Sunday Event Coordinator
Commencement and Duration: December 1, 2019 – March 15, 2020
Contracted Rate: $3,250
Purpose: The Event Coordinator will coordinate a one day Seedy Sunday event and ensure it is a successful in engaging the community in a Seed and Garden vendor market, workshops and activities, and that the event is financially profitable, and reaches an attendance of 850 people.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Meet with Seedy Sunday Committee on a regular basis and keep them informed of your progress
· Media and marketing of Seedy Sunday 2020
· Overall organization for the event including but not limited to:
Data management, process documentation
Registration of vendors and maintenance of vendor database
Book location and activities, including concession
Recruit, schedule, train and manage volunteers
Coordinate event activities including raffle, children’s programming, workshops
Coordinate the facility layout
Set up inside and outside spaces and signage
Event clean up
Financial management and final report, social media event posting

Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Experience in event planning
· Experience in engaging community partners
· Experience in marketing and social media
· Knowledge of Seedy Sunday, food and agriculture issues and non-profits
· Ability to work independently and cooperatively with multiple organizations and committee
· Criminal Record Check
· Basic computer skills as needed
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Drivers’ License
