April 2020 Update

Plant sales will continue every Wednesday and Saturday at the Beban Learning Garden from 10am to noon.
Current seedlings for sale include:
Lettuce        Spinach        Chard       Kale       Cress     Leeks    Parsley  Chives           Tarragon        Oregano      Fennel

We also have pollinator plants that attract bees to help pollinate your vegetables.  Some examples are:
Sedum          Marigold          Zinnia          Sunflower          Tithonia          Gaillardia     Allysum

Stay tuned for warmer weather plants next month, including Tomatoes, Squash, Cucumber and Basil.  We are also packaging excess seeds to sell in response to the seed shortage, date to be announced soon.

Here is what you need to know before attending a plant sale

– Signs will not be placed out on road – you will have to find the site by yourself (near the VIEX grounds)
– Sale plants will be sold outside ONLY – we ask you not to enter the greenhouse at all
– Please bring exact change only please (small pots are $2.50, gallon pots $5, flat of 18 @$40) – contactless tap for credit or debit cards and e-transfers are also available. .
– The 2 metre rule will be strictly followed
– There is a wash stand with soap (no towels) provided for everyone and we encourage its use
– Frequently touched objects will be regularly wiped with bleach solution by volunteers
